Mary Jurkowski

Mary Jurkowski, 98, of DuBois, passed away at 4:45 P.M., Tuesday, July 15, 2003 at Pinckneyville Health Care in Pinckneyville.
Mary was a homemaker.  She was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois, St. Theresa Altar Sodality, and Living Rosary.
She was born August 27, 1904 at Perry County, IL, the daughter of Adam and Pegalia (Procerski) Ochap.
She married Frank Jurkowski on May 29, 1922 at Todds Mill, IL and he preceded her in death in 1951.
She is survived by four sons - Joe Jurkowski and wife Elizabeth of St. Peters, MO, Tony Jurkowski and wife Gertrude of Tamaroa, IL, Edward Jurkowski of South Haven, MS, and Charles Jurkowski and wife Marcella of Arnold, MO, one daughter-in-law - Rosalia Jurkowski of Pinckneyville, IL, one half sister - Froney Skurat of Dix, IL, sixteen grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren, and two great great-grandsons.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son - Leonard, one daughter-in-law - Dorothy Jurkowski, one brother - Pete Ochap, two sisters - Kate Barntnicki and Hattie Suchomski, two half brothers - Paul Pelker and Thomas Nehring, and one half sister - Rose Pelker.
Funeral services were at 10:00 A.M., Monday, July 21, 2003 at St. Charles Catholic Church in DuBois with Msgr. Melvin Vandeloo officiating.
Friends called from 5 to 8 P.M., Sunday at the Searby Funeral Home in Tamaroa.
Rosary was prayed at 7 P.M., Sunday at the funeral home.
Interment was in the St. Charles Cemetery at DuBois.
